Where to start?

I’m not 100% sure where to begin with this thing. Ideally, I’m hoping to treat this as a log of where I’m at and where I’m going. At this point, it doesn’t have a target, but I’m thinking it’ll be composed of the following:

  • Eating for health
  • Working out
  • Programming

So off of the top of my head, here are a few of my goals:

  • Consistent workouts
    • Erg rowing
    • Weights
  • Solid / Simple nutrition
    • Lean proteins
    • Greens

Shooting from the hip, I’m going to start with the following template for tomorrows:

Exercise

- Row 2k meters
- Stretching/Foam rolling
- 1 to 2 10min walks

Eating

- 0.5 - 1.0 gallon of water
- minimum 100g protein
- maximum 100g carbs

Sleep ~ 6.5 hrs

This is a touchy topic for me. Currently, I’m super lucky to sneak in 6hrs a night. I’ve gone through stretches of time where I’ve ALWAYS managed to wake up at 2-3am after going to bed at 1010:30pm. It’s a real soul crusher when you were hoping to get up and workout/etc. but you can’t get near it because you are in this weird zombie state of not enough rest to be productive, but not tired enough to just “seal the deal” with your pillow. So with that, I’m going to be setting my bed time for 9:30p tomorrow night as I’ve got to get up around 4:30a to get ready for my commute into work. Thank God, that I only have to do that twice this week.

I’m starting from scratch (for the millionth time), but I want to begin with a win. I think having both exercise and eating properly in place not only helps me with my energy levels - but my demeanor with my family around me. I’m simply a better person.
